ODOT expects to reopen a section of I-680 northbound later this week.
The portion between U.S. Route 62, the Hubbard exit, and Edwards Street has been closed for bridge work for about a month.
The construction is running right on schedule, according to ODOT spokesman Brent Kovacs.
Kovacs said the exact date for when this section of road will reopen is not clear because of rain in the forecast.
Work has been done on three bridges; two bridge repairs and one bridge removal.
For the removal, the area was set to be filled in with dirt and then have pavement put on top.
