After a sensational day Friday, the weekend will get underway with cool and pleasant weather on Saturday. Despite a good deal of sunshine, temperatures will be a handful of degrees below average. One of the chilliest nights of the season so far is on the way Saturday night. 

Sunday will turn milder with a mix of sunshine and clouds. October begins on Monday but the weather next week will be more typical of early September. A cold front might trigger a couple of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday but Wednesday is likely to be dry. Spotty rain will be a possibility once again at the end of the work week.
