UNITY TWP., Ohio - An early morning police pursuit leads to a vehicle on its side in Unity Township and one person airlifted to the hospital.
East Palestine authorities said at 12:13 am Sunday, police were pursuing the vehicle when the driver lost control and flipped on its side at the intersection of Route 14 and Route 170.
They said the vehicle landed in a field.
Three people were inside; two males and a female.
Authorities said two people were checked out and released at the scene, but the third had to be taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
There's no word yet on their condition or what caused the initial pursuit.
A portion of the intersection was closed off until the scene could be cleared.
Lisbon state troopers also assisted in the crash.
