YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown State football coach Bo Pelini let out a lot of frustration following the Penguins 43-17 loss to Indiana State, dropping them to 3-5 overall and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

"We're a bad football team." Those were the first words Pelini spoke in his post-game press conference. "I wish I had an answer for you. Never in my life have I've been this disgusted in my coaching career," Pelini said.

The fourth-year coach went on, "I don't know how guys have no enthusiasm. It's too many guys. It's like they don't like to play the sport," Pelini said.

The Penguins lead 10-3 midway through the fourth quarter and were outscored 40-7 over the last two and half quarters.

"I can see it coming and we played like that. We played terrible. We stunk on offense in the second half, we stunk on defense, we missed tackles, we played like we didn't want to play." Pelini said, "It falls on me. We have three games remaining. I'm going to find some people who want to compete and want to play hard and have some pride."

Pelini's displeasure continued. "That was a disgusting performance. That's so far out of my, I can't even fathom that."

Pelini said numerous times as the head coach it's on him and may start looking at some other guys. "We can use freshman. I'm going to go out and find players who want to play," he said.

"That collection of garbage on offense. The offensive line was awful. We weren't ready to play," said Pelini,

"Coming out of the tunnel, you could have heard a pin drop," Pelini said.

In closing, Pelini said, "I apologize to everybody associated with this program in what took the field today. I've never been so disgusted in my entire life of what I just witnessed and what I was just apart of. We'll keep working to get it fixed."

The Penguins are at North Dakota State next Saturday. You can watch it on our sister station WBCB ... The Valley's CW at 3:30 pm.
