Many of the homes and business that lost power during Tuesday's storms in the Valley have had service restored, but some of the nearly 1,000 FirstEnergy customers that were still in the dark Wednesday morning could stay that way for much of the day.

The utility estimates that power could be out as late as 11 p.m. Wednesday until crews can repair the many scattered outages.

As of 5 a.m. Wednesday there were 358 outages in Mercer County. The most extensive outages are in Perry and Lake Townships.

In Ohio. Columbiana County still had 375 outages. Most of those are in Unity Township.

Mahoning County still had 222 homes and businesses in the dark. 178 of the outages are in Springfield Township.
