Traffic was backed up on Werner Road in Sugar Grove Township after an accident involving a train and a semi-truck Tuesday afternoon.

Hempfield fire officials said the incident is still under investigation, but as of now, they know that the truck was attempting to cross over the tracks when the incident occurred.

Officials said that the train's conductors told them that they had put on their warning lights and tried to signal the truck, but it still attempted to make it across the tracks.

The truck was reportedly carrying a load of dog food it had recently picked up.

No one was injured.
