Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Tuesday that grants award documents have been sent to 32 rape crisis centers and agencies in the state.

According to the release, the grants total $4.16 million, nearly triple the amount awarded in the past three years.

Ohio's Rape Crisis Program Trust Fund is providing the funding for the grants.

Each center will receive nearly $121,000 from the grant.

Compass Family Services in Youngstown will receive one of the $120,774 grants.

"Women who have lived through the horrific act of rape will now have access to expanded services in every corner of our state," Yost said. "This massive increase in funding to our local partners will improve lives moving forward."
