SANDY CREEK TWP., Pa. - A Mercer County man was struck and killed by a car after going out to get his mail.
State Police say 46-year-old Aquilla David Yoder was returning to his home from his roadside mailbox on Perry Highway Friday evening when he was struck.
The coroner pronounced Yoder dead at the scene.
Troopers say the road was dry, but it was dark, and there are no street lights in the rural area.
