PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II says the team is confident quarterback Ben Roethlisberger can return to form in 2020.

Roethlisberger is in the early stages of rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on his right elbow.

Rooney says the team is confident Roethlisberger will be ready for his 17th season next fall. Rooney added there are no plans to shake things up behind Roethlisberger.

Both Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges played erratically during Roethlisberger's absence but Rooney chalked up Rudolph's first extending playing time to a learning experience.
