HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Friday that players can now purchase Powerball and Mega Millions tickets online.

The release says online players will be able to experience many of the same features as players at a Lottery retailer.

They can choose their numbers and have a "quick pick" option with random numbers.

Players can purchase multiple tickets and play up to 26 drawings or 13 weeks in advance.

To play online, players have to sign up for an iLottery account and deposit money into the account to purchase the tickets.

Anyone attempting to play the lottery has to be 18 years of age or older.

All players must be physically located in Pennsylvania to play according to state law.

The site also features a number of player-controlled settings, including time, deposit, and spending limits.
