YOUNGSTOWN - FirstEnergy repair crews were still working Friday morning to restore power to more than 300 homes and businesses in the Valley.

It’s what’s left of the 12,000 outages caused by severe storms that rolled through the area early Wednesday.

As of 4:30 am Friday FirstEnergy reported 288 customers scattered throughout Columbiana County still did not have electricity.  More than half of that number, 174, were in Middleton Township.

The utility estimates power will be restored sometime between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm Friday.

Fifty-four outages were still being reported in Mahoning County. Thirty-six of those were in Boardman.

It’s estimated power will be back on between 1 pm and 5:30 pm Friday.
