Among many facilities given the approval to open at the end of the month are Ohio campgrounds.

Beginning Thursday, May 21, campgrounds in the state will be permitted to reopen if facilities can meet new required safety protocols.

The list was created by Governor DeWine's Outdoor Recreation Advisory Group for booth campers and campgrounds.

Mandatory requirements include:

  • Proper hygiene maintenance in public restrooms and showers.
  • Non-essential gathering buildings to remain closed.
  • Social distancing guidelines.
  • Campers must be registered at the campsite in order to visit.
