YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A man is convicted and sentenced for raping a jogger in Poland Township Park in September of 2018.
Shawn Wendling, 39, plead guilty to two counts of rape and one count of felonious assault Thursday.
He was sentenced to 20 years in prison, on top of the 30 years he is already serving for two rapes in Portage County.
Wendling, who is from Hillsville, Pennsylvania, would be nearly 90 years old before his prison time would be up.
Wendling has been referred to by some as a serial rapist after being charged in two counties with at least three different rapes and suspected of similar crimes in Stark County, according to police.
