A woman charged in an April shooting on Youngstown's south side has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

Jillian Russell, 36, was ordered to undergo treatment by Judge Renee DiSalvo after a mental health evaluation found she was not capable of standing trial.

The mental health evaluation found that Russell could not stand trial because she did not understand the charges against her and could not aid in her own defense.

Russell had previously been arraigned on a charge of aggravated murder for the shooting death of Marcus Turnage at his home on Lakewood Avenue.
