Dunkin’ Donuts says it plans to shut down 800 locations this year, including 450 locations in Speedway gas stations announced earlier.

The company said on Thursday that the 800 locations represent approximately 8 percent of the Dunkin' restaurants in the United States. The location of the stores being closed have not been released.

Dunkin’ said sales in the U.S. fell nearly 19% over the past three months due to a decline in business attributed to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Company officials believe the loss was partially offset because the average customer was ordering more food and drinks.

The company operates 13,000 Dunkin' restaurants and approximately 8,000 Baskin-Robbins restaurants.
