Nineteen years after the terror attacks that left nearly 3,000 people dead in New York, Washington D.C., and in Pennsylvania, will be remembered during a brief ceremony at Austintown 9/11 Memorial Park.
The service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.
The event will feature this year's keynote speaker, Austintown Fitch graduate Joseph Revetti.
The Youngstown Police Department Honor Guard will perform a 21-gun salute, and performances of "Taps" and the national anthem will also occur.
Due to the pandemic, the service will be shortened this year, and anyone attending the event is asked to social distance.
