Trumbull County public schools to go remote, sports suspended

All Trumbull County public school districts will be going remote and suspending athletics and activities.
The Trumbull County Educational Service Center made the announcement Tuesday after county health officials issued a stay-at-home order and urged schools to make the move.
Beginning Nov. 30, all public school districts in the county will shift to online learning through at least Jan. 3, 2021. The move is being done in accordance with recommendations from the Trumbull County Board of Health. Officials say key indicators in the county continue to rise above levels that local health officials consider safe.
All athletics and activities will be suspended through at least Dec. 22, at which point Trumbull County's public school districts will reassess the COVID-19 situation.
