Power goes out to thousands in Austintown, Youngstown
FirstEnergy is looking for the cause of an extensive power outage in Youngstown, Austintown, as well as other parts of Mahoning County.

FirstEnergy is looking for the cause of an extensive power outage in Youngstown, Austintown, as well as other parts of Mahoning County.
Power went out to nearly 8,300 homes and businesses at around 11 a.m. Friday.
6,700 outages were reported in Austintown with another 2,000 outages on Youngstown’s West Side.
Scattered outages were also occurring in Canfield, Green, and Berlin Townships.
A spokesperson for the utility told 21 News that they are trying to find out what caused and equipment lockout.
FirstEnergy estimates that power would be restored by 1:30 p.m. Friday
Wedgewood Pizza announced on its Facebook page that although the Raccoon Road location had no power, they were still taking cash only orders until electricity is restored.
