About 35 chickens were killed in a fire Tuesday evening in Shenango Township.
Fire officials said the fire started in a 500 square foot chicken coup around 5:30 p.m.
They said a space heater was being used inside the coup and may have caught the hay on fire, but it is still under investigation.
Six different departments were on scene and no other damage was reported.
No one else was hurt.
