YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown Police Department detectives spent Tuesday morning searching for human remains in the Mahoning River.
Investigators were searching near the bridge on Salt Springs Road and a nearby wooded area for evidence of 38-year-old Kricket Rinebold.
Rinebold was last seen on June 14, 2020.
She was originally from Tonawanda, Pennsylvania and moved to the area last year.
Police did find skeletal remains on Youngstown's west side earlier this year that were positively identified as Rinebold, but the incident is still under investigation.
Detectives said they did find some bones, but they were determined not to be human.
So far, Rinebold's death is not a criminal investigation.
