Task Force believes THC products were sold to Trumbull County juveniles

COLEBROOK TWP., Ohio - An 18-year-old Ashtabula County resident is under investigation after authorities say they found illegal drugs in his home and car.
Acting on a tip, the Crime Enforcement Agency of Ashtabula County last week searched the teen’s bedroom on the 8100 block of Troutman Road, Colebrook Township where they found prescription Percocet tablets, THC wax dabs, and $2,100 in U.S. currency.
Investigators say the search led them to a vehicle on the 1800 block of U.S. 322, just east of Orwell, where they seized 18 grams of mushrooms, 31 ecstasy tablets, and THC products that authorities say were brought in from outside of Ohio.
The seized products included a high potency THC product packaged to look like Apple Jacks and Fruit Loops cereals.
The THC products include vapes, gummies, and wax dabs and contain a significantly higher level of THC, which the task force says can be extremely dangerous.
Investigators believe the suspect was selling the THC products online to juveniles and young adults in southern Ashtabula County and northern Trumbull County.
The Task Force is urging parents to be vigilant and report any suspicious product their children might have to local law enforcement agencies.
The suspect was released pending the return of lab results.
Last week, police in East Palestine arrested a couple following a chase and found 52 bags of THC-infused candies, treats, and snacks.
