Two arrested after car chase, gunfire in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Two men were arrested in Boardman after allegedly chasing a car and shooting at the occupants.
According to reports, first calls came in around 3:38 p.m. Saturday saying two cars were exchanging gunfire near 65 Shields Road.
Police say an Impala was chasing a Mustang southbound in the area of Shields Road and West Boulevard.
Witnesses say the vehicles continued onto Mill Creek Boulevard before the victims pulled over on Glenbrook Road.
According to reports, the shooting and chase began after the victims stopped at a woman's apartment to have her delete something from her phone. The woman allegedly began to shoot at them from the apartment window.
The victims got into their car and sped away, swerving in and out of traffic while being chased by the Impala.
Two men, 21-year-old Markis Roland and 20-year-old Tequane Bennett, were allegedly driving the Impala and shooting at the victims with a gun that had an extended magazine.
Officers took Roland and Bennett into custody and were charged with felonious assault.
