Tuesday trial set for Campbell man accused of murdering Sharon woman

A Campbell, Ohio man is scheduled to go on trial Tuesday for the fatal shooting of a woman in Sharon.
Antwan Jones Jr., 21, is charged in connection with the July 12, 2020, shooting death of 36-year-old Clarice Somerville of Sharon.
According to Pennsylvania court records, Jones's trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the courtroom of Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald Amrhein Jr.
On the day of the shooting, police investigating reports of gunfire and people arguing found Somerville wounded on a sidewalk on the 300 block Quimby Street at around 3 p.m. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, where she died.
After police saw witnesses kicking in the door to an apartment at 307 Quimby, officers went inside and said they found Jones hiding in a shower on the second floor.
Detectives say Jones was taken to the police station, where he confessed to shooting Somerville.
Jones is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
