A Youngstown man will serve time in federal prison after being sentenced for calling in bomb threats to Youngstown Municipal Court.

Larese Allen Sr. called the courthouse on June 1, 2020 and told the clerk "b***h we are coming from Cleveland to blow up your courthouse."

The threat led to the evacuation of the courthouse and a thorough check of the building by YPD's Bomb Squad.

FBI agents were able to identify the phone that made the call and linked it to a Facebook profile of Allen.

Allen entered a guilty plea to charges of transmitting a telephonic bomb threat via interstate communication and felon in possession of a firearm.

He was sentenced to 22 months in federal prison with credit for time served.
