"I'm just feeling really down today. Really missing Rowan," said David Sweeney, grief still glazing over him.

In the face of the most jarring loss a parent could endure, his son Rowan - even in his tragic death - has given him a new purpose.

"No parent wants to bury their child; that's the worst thing that can happen if you ask me," David said. "We're trying to make the community and the world a better place through Rowan's name."

David and the community have raised $100,000 for a children's park in Rowan's honor. They hope to select a site soon and begin construction come spring.

Tuesday marks one year since four-year-old Rowan died in his mother's arms during a home invasion in Struthers.
But David's crusade for justice is being held at bay.

One of three suspects, Andre McCoy, is still on the run - wanted by US Marshals.
Tuesday afternoon, they announced a $5,000 reward for any information leading to McCoy's arrest.

"He needs to be caught. He will be caught. But better yet, just turn yourself in," David pleaded. "Someone out there has to know something."

A gag order meant prosecutors couldn't tell 21 News anything about where they think McCoy could be or how he managed to evade capture in the first place.

Two others face murder and related charges in the case.  Brandon Crump is set to go to trial in January. Kimonie Bryant's trial is scheduled for later next year.

In the meantime, David Sweeney is trusting the process - however imperfect - will deliver.

"I think they've got a good grasp on this," he said. "I'm confident the case is being handled the right way and that justice is going to be served."

Anyone with information on Andre McCoy's whereabouts is urged to call 1-866-4-WANTED.
