Canfield student projects earn $10K in state STEM competition

CANFIELD, Ohio - Two Canfield High School projects were awarded the STEM Commercialization Plan $10,000 scholarship to be used to attend an Ohio college, university or technical college through the Believe in Ohio State Competition.
Current senior, Emma Dodig-Drahotusky was awarded the scholarship for her "Naturally Occurring Antiviral Agents for Use on Cell Phones" plan.
In addition, a team consisting of three 2021 graduates, Morgan E. Carey, Madison R. Puskar and Marisa F. Scheetz was awarded the scholarship for its "Neutralized Dog Waste Solution" plan.
Believe in Ohio is a free, comprehensive, curriculum-based STEM and entrepreneurship program for Ohio high school students. The program is designed to create a "culture of innovation" and to prepare students to meet demands of a rapidly changing labor market and become contributors to Ohio's innovation economy.
