Injury reported in Vienna multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital and tied up traffic at an intersection in Trumbull County Thursday night.

VIENNA TWP., Ohio - A multi-vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital and tied up traffic at an intersection in Trumbull County Thursday night.

Rescuers from the Vienna Township Fire Department and police were dispatched to Sodom Hutchings Road and the westbound lanes of State Route 82 at around 8:30 p.m. where they found an accident involving two cars and a tanker truck hauling brine wastewater.

One driver was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries that first responders say are not life-threatening.

Another driver was evaluated by EMTs but not taken to the hospital.

The stretch of road was reopened after crews removed debris from the crash.
