"Honestly, I was shocked.  I was watching it, watching it, and then it went and I was so excited".

Those were the words from junior Gabby Lamparty, whose game-winner in overtime sent South Range to the regional semifinals.

"We were gassed, our girls were pretty tired but when she takes those shots...I'm pretty confident they're going in and they usually do", added Kelsey Malenic, the Raiders head coach

Despite being 17 minutes apart, South Range and Crestview met for the first time this year, Thursday night.

The Rebels entering the night at 13-7, beating Lordstown, Champion, and Ursuline to make the District Finale.  On the other side of the coin, South Range breezed through Conneaut and Pymatuning Valley.

The Raiders took a 2-1 lead into the break, and less than ten minutes into the second half, doubled down on their bets, as Lamparty went near post on a free-kick, giving the district's top-seed a 3-1 lead.

Maci Shaffer came into the evening, leading Crestview with 50 goals and 16 assists, and her speed paid dividends on a break-away goal with 27:01 remaining.

Just over a minute later, the Rebels looked to capitalize on a corner kick.  Sophia Carr set up Bailey Wonner with an equalizer.  Two goals in the span of 1:10 had shifted the momentum.

The next 19 minutes, just like the previous 60, physical...

With seven minutes to play, Shaffer got behind the Raiders defense again, and put in the go-ahead goal, arguably the biggest goal of the senior captain's career. Crestview held the 4-3 edge.

However, on the other side still remained Gabby Lamparty, and seven minutes was plenty of time.

Three minutes later, with plenty of space, and plenty of time, sent a ball upper-90.

"I was just confident in my teammates, and I knew they were going to find me and I let it go...and it went in, and it was just unbelievable." said Lamparty.

That set the stage, for overtime, and eventually the last of Lamparty's hat-trick, and her 32nd goal of the campaign, pushing a talented Raiders team into the Sweet 16.

South Range will meet Doylestown Chippewa in the regional semis on November 2.
