1996: Warren Packard, a grandson of W.D. Packard said the Warren music hall's board was right to reject a proposal from theater producer John Kenley that would have tied up the hall for 37 weeks of the year. Packard's will envisioned a hall that would be available primarily for free events, the board said, and the Kenley contract could have allowed Packard's heirs to reclaim the building.
