Salem's Brightside Project handing out toys to children in Columbiana Co.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio - A Salem non-profit organization is bringing cheer to hundreds of kids throughout Columbiana County this weekend.
The Brightside Project will host its 6th annual Bright Christmas event Saturday.
Brightside collects toys from local individuals and businesses and distributes them to children served by the Brightside Project.
Last year, Bright Christmas reached out to 300 children in Columbiana County.
"We've seen such an amazing outpouring of generosity from the community this year. They really stepped up to support this event and show children in our community that they are loved. Our goal on Saturday is for every child to leave our facility feeling empowered and loved," Co-Director Lisa Wallace said.
Parents and guardians attending are asked to bring their photo ID, proof of being a Columbiana County resident and the child with them.
Children must be in attendance to receive a toy, food items and to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
