WARREN, Ohio - The Salvation Army of Warren distributed hundreds of boxes of food during a holiday drive-thru food giveaway on Monday.

The giveaway happened in two surges with people lining up at 10:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. with lines stretching across the parking lot as Trumbull County Career and Technical Center students showed up to help meet the need.

"Everybody needs help now and then. It's no shame in it, but after you get your help and you get on your feet, help somebody else. That's what the Salvation Army does," said Drop-in Center Assistant Director, Tammy Mullen.

About 500 families received boxes of food this year.
