Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown endorses Nan Whaley for governor

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown announced his endorsement of Nan Whaley for Ohio governor Thursday, January 13.
Nan Whaley is the former mayor of Dayton, Ohio., she chose former Mayor of Cleveland Heights Cheryl Stevens as her running mate.
Whaley is one of the founding members of the Ohio Mayors Alliance and the president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Last year, Whaley also organized Republican, Democratic and Independent mayors from across the country to help pass the historic infrastructure package that will lead to almost 10 billion dollars of investment in Ohio.
"Mayors are where the rubber meets the road, they get things done, they get creative and innovative, especially when you have a state government that isn't looking out for our cities. One reason why I'm running for governor is that I think we need the same kind of innovative, can-do spirit running our state," said Whaley during the press conference.
Whaley is endorsed by organizations like Emily's List, Pro-Choice Ohio and multiple state and local unions.
She is also endorsed by Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther, Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, and Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson.
"I believe Nan is the change we that we need in the state of Ohio to move us forward, and that's why I'm here with you today to lend my support to my friend, my leader, Nan Whaley," said Brown during his endorsement announcement.
