Youngstown FBI honors Hubbard detective for role in arrest of robbery suspect

The Youngstown FBI honored a Hubbard Police detective for his role in the arrest of the suspect of a multi-state robbery spree.
In August of 2021, Miambo Maombi of Idaho was arrested in Trumbull County after allegedly robbing multiple businesses across multiple states including a Domino's Pizza restaurant in Niles and a Circle K store in Hubbard.
Now, the Youngstown FBI is honoring Hubbard Police Detective, Michael Banic for his role in Maombi's arrest.
As lead detective, Banic authorized search warrants obtaining cellular location history and was able to connect Maombi to several robberies in eight jurisdictions.
In addition, Banic obtained a full recorded confession from Maombi and provided information to investigators in three different states for the criminal prosecution of unsolved sexual assaults and robberies.
