The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown announced the merger of two Trumbull County churches and the closure of another Sunday.

According to the release, Bishop David Bonnar accepted the recommendation to merge Our Lady of Victor Parish in Andover and St. Patrick Parish in Kinsman.

The parish will include both church buildings and Bishop Bonnar invited the parishioners to recommend a new name to reflect one parish community.

Bishop Bonnar also accepted the recommendation to officially close St. Joseph Church in Warren.

St. Joseph Church merged with St. Mary's Parish in Warren in November 2021.

The moves are part of an ongoing regional plan.
