Warren Twp. officials taking steps toward sewer project

WARREN TWP., Ohio - Warren Township has taken new steps toward solving its longstanding septic system issue that involves sewage from more than four hundred homes discharging into the Mahoning River.
After a meeting with township trustees and Trumbull County Commissioner Frank Fuda, the sewage project will be put on next week's agenda and discussed at the Trumbull County Commissioner's meeting.
Warren Township Trustee, Edward Anthony says, "IT'S MORE MONEY I BELIEVE HAS TO BE SECURED FOR THIS PROJECT TO GO FORWARD, BUT THERE HAve BEEN SEVERAL GRANTS APPLIED FOR AND HAS BEEN OBTAINED FOR THIS PROJECT. as FAR AS I BELIEVE, ALTOGETHER IT'S RIGHT AROUND A FIVE-MILLION-DOLLAR PROJECT FOR TO GET A PLANT AND GET THESE 412 HOMES PROPERLY FIT SO THEY'RE NOT ILLEGALLY DISCHARGING."
if the agenda item passes, it could potentially expedite the project.
