Earth Day is coming up on April 22, and one West Branch student is reminding thousands of drivers to "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle."

Seventh grader, Stella Zippay's artwork celebrating Earth Day will be displayed on one of five billboards throughout the area featuring student artwork collected in a competition by The Green Team.

Students in fourth through eighth grade were invited to submit artwork for the Green Team's first Earth Day Billboard contest.

West Branch Middle School Environmental Club advisor, Tonya Edie decided to get students in on the action, resulting in more than a dozen West Branch Middle School students submitting their work to the contest.

Over 500 entries across nine Mahoning County schools were submitted, with one winner being selected from each grade level. Zippay was among those winners.

Zippay's artwork will be displayed on Route 224 between Boardman and Canfield from April 3 to May 6. Zippay says she hopes this billboard reaches a lot of people and educates them about the importance of caring for the environment.

Over 100,000 drivers are expected to see the billboard during its run.
