A park just doesn't feel right without trees to extend shade, and now one local car dealership is trying to encourage vehicle buyers to help plant more of them at Mill Creek MetroParks.

Boardman Subaru says they are taking part in a dealer wide "Subaru Loves the Earth" event in April, the same month as Earth Day. The local dealership says they will donate $25 of every vehicle purchase this month and up to $3,500 total so Mill Creek can plant new trees and replant old ones.

That means Boardman Subaru the first 140 vehicle buyers in April could help plant a large amount of trees in the largest MetroPark in the United States.

Boardman Subaru also says they are making zero waste recycling boxes called TerraCycle available to community members for free in April. Terracycle is used for hard to recycle materials like bags, lids and plastic straws.

Mill Creek has its own plan for planting trees called the "Keep Mill Creek Green" initiative.
