Police are investigating an accident involving a scooter and a car along a busy street in Niles.

NILES, Ohio - Police are investigating an accident involving a scooter and a car along a busy street in Niles.

The car and scooter collided at Water Street SE and South Main Street shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The person who was on the scooter was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment of what police say is a non-life-threatening leg injury.

Traffic officers are still investigating the accident that temporarily tied up traffic at the intersection.
