NORTH JACKSON, Ohio - A multi-million dollar expansion is on the way for North Jackson business Universal Stainless.

The Regional Chamber celebrated the groundbreaking for the expansion of its facility Thursday morning.

During a time of supply chain issues and high inflation, the company says business is booming for them thanks to their major buyers in the aerospace industry.

"THE SECRET TO SUCCESS FOR THIS BUSINESS, QUITE FRANKLY, IS ANYBODY CAN BUILD THE BUILDINGS AND BUY THE EQUIPMENT. IT REALLY COMES DOWN TO THE TEAMWORK BETWEEN THE EMPLOYEES HERE AND WE'RE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE A VERY SOLID MANAGEMENT TEAM HERE AND GROUP OF EMPLOYEES THAT ARE HARDWORKING, EAGER TO LEARN, AND DOING THE JOB WE NEED TO HAVE DONE TO GROW THE BUSINESS," Dennis Oates, chairman, president and CEO of universal stainless said.

The company is already hiring amid the expansion and expects to have to hire another 90-100 more once the new facility opens.
