Demolition is underway on the home on Youngstown's east side where humane agents removed more than 100 cats.

The condemned home sits on Early Street.

Last month Animal Charity found the home in unlivable condition with dozens of cats and kittens living inside.

A weeks long rescue operation was able to recover and treat the animals.

But, crews needed hazmat suits and get inside. They also brought a dumpster to the scene in order to remove excess trash from the home, stating that trash was piled up from the floor to the ceiling in every room of the home.

Demolition is expected to be done by Monday.
