Warren Family Mission in need of truck after fire on SR 82
The Warren Family Mission is thanking God no one was hurt when one of the non-profit's pick-up trucks caught on fire, but now they are asking the public for help.
Two people were inside the truck, driving on State Route 82, when the truck caught on fire due to a gas leak. Everyone was able to get out safely, but the truck is a total loss.
The Interim Executive Director, Caitlin White, says this happens to be the only vehicle in the non-profit's fleet that is only covered by liability insurance.
The truck is used to haul a trailer and lawn mower to help the City of Warren, Trumbull County, and land bank mow vacant properties.
"It's the only truck we have with a hitch in order to carry the trailer with the mower," said White. "So right now we are looking for a truck that has a four-wheel drive that we are able to put a hitch on and get our mower around."
A donated vehicle would be tax deductible. Anyone able to donate can contact the Warren Family Mission at 330-394-5437.
