KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Stoneboro Celebration Days

STONEBORO, Pa. - Stoneboro Celebration Days kicks off Friday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m. and will run throughout the weekend. The event will have activities for both kids and adults to enjoy.
The following is a complete schedule for all three days of the event:
FRIDAY:
- 6:00 p.m. through 10:00 p.m.: Food trucks courtesy of West Penn Concessions featuring french fries, sandwiches, funnel cakes and kettle corn. Kids age 12 and under can get a free hot dog or corn dog.
- 6:30 p.m.: Sixth Annual Pet Parade. All who have registered for the event should line up behind the firehall.
- 7:15 p.m.: Ventriloquest Cindy Speck sponsored by Lakeview Area Library
- 8:00 p.m.: Stoneboro Garden Club Duck Race
- Dusk: Movie in the Park. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be shown courtesy of Armstrong Cable. Guests should bring a non-perishable food item to support Armstrong's Breaking Bread Food Program and Lakeview Area Helping Hands.
SATURDAY:
- 11:00 a.m.: to 10:30 p.m.: Food trucks
- 12:00 p.m.: to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Free activities for kids including bounce houses, an obstacle course, a dual lane wacky slide, rock climbing and much more provided by Crazy Monkey Rides of Erie.
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Free ice cream courtesy of the Mercer County Dairy Princess.
- 2:00 p.m.: Kids Fireman's Water Battle
- 4:00 p.m.: Hometown parade featuring bands, floats, antique cars, big balloons and clowns. The parade will run from Stoneboro Fairgrounds to Stoneboro Fire Hall.
- 5:00 p.m.: Adults Fireman's Water Battle
- 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Live music from the Tyler Jenkins Trio
- 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Live music from Tunes in a Bucket
- 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks courtesy of Peak Pyro Productions of Edinboro.
SUNDAY:
- 10:00 a.m.: Community Church Service at Stoneboro Memorial Park featuring Stoneboro Methodist Church and Stoneboro Presbyterian Church Methodist Praise Band. Guests should bring their own chairs. Offering envelopes will be returned to the church indicated on the envelopes, but loose donations will be given to Lakeview Area Helping Hands.
- 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Food trucks
12:00 p.m.: Historical walking tour of Stonesboro. Participants will meet by the metal sculpture in the park.
- 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Kid's activities including balloon sculptures courtesy of Dragonfly Balloons.
- 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Cruise In with antique and classic cars. The first 50 to show up will receive a free dash plaque.
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Pin-up contest.
- 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Live music from PanTropix.
Stoneboro Celebration Committee Chairman tells 21 News that there are no parking or admission fees for any day of the event and the only thing at the event that would cost money are the food vendors.
The event is open to the public with no ticket required.
