Slick thief steals $3,000 in used cooking oil from Boardman restaurant

Boardman police are looking for the slick thief who slid away with nearly $3,000 of used cooking oil from Double Bogey's restaurant at the Southern Park Mall.
The police were called Monday to the restaurant after discovering 700 gallons of used cooking oil from the outside storage tanks of the restaurant was missing.
Buffalo Biodiesel, a company that converts used oil into diesel fuel, discovered that the locks from the tanks were missing and the tanks were empty. The company told the police it had last emptied the tank 3 months ago. The driver for the biodiesel company said a special tanker would be needed to steal the oil in question.
An employee for the restaurant told police he observed an unmarked white tanker truck by the tanks on Friday, July 15 around 7 p.m.
If you can help the police with their investigation, call the Boardman Police at 330-726-4144.
