Groundbreaking for a new $3 million project in Boardman is scheduled for Monday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m.

The project is a state-of-the-art, multi-unit plaza at 15, Boardman Canfield Road next to the Men's Warehouse.

The plaza will be called the Prosper Centre and will consist of four total suites: 1,290, 2,200, 2,220, and 3,225 square feet respectively. It will be anchored by Sapphire Aesthetics & Wellness, a full-service medical spa, and personal wellness center.

"I have been driving past that site for almost a decade and every time I always told myself, 'That would be the perfect location for a plaza.' So here we are almost a decade later and I figured I would be the one to build the plaza," said developer, Terrill Vidale.

Sapphire Aesthetics offers Botox, Filler, IV Infusions, Body sculpting, Hydrafacials, and much more. Sapphire is currently located at 755 Boardman Canfield Road.

"Since opening in June of 2022, Sapphire's demand has been strong, and to meet the needs of our clients over the next six months to a year, we need more space. I believe the Prosper Centre is the perfect location to serve our clients," said Sapphire CEO, Ashley Vidale.

Ohio Secretary of State, Frank LaRose, Senator Michael Rulli, Mahoning County Commissioners and many others are scheduled to be in attendance and give remarks during the ceremony.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Spring of 2023.
