The Ohio Turnpike's "Name-a-Snowplow" contest is back again for 2022.

Ohioans are encouraged to get creative this winter and come up with the coolest, funniest and most clever names for the snowplows that turnpike staff will be using throughout the season.

The submission period starts Monday, October 24 and folks have until November 20 to submit their names on the Ohio Turnpike's website.

Once all submissions are accounted for, Turnpike officials will choose the top 50 names for a public vote. The voting period will last from November 21 to December 2.

Once all the votes are tallied, the top eight picks will have their names assigned to one of eight snowplows in service at all Turnpike buildings. In addition, all winners will receive a $100 gift card.

Winners will be announced on December 9.

Last year, a Brookfield resident was among the eight winners of the contest with the name "Ah Push It... Push It Real Good." A refence to the 1986 hit song, "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa.
