A number of fire crews were called out to a house fire on Thanksgiving Day in Southington.

The Southington Fire Department was called to the home in the 2400 block of State Route 534 around 5:35 p.m. Thursday.

The first truck made it to the scene within nine minutes and found smoke coming from the home, leading to a second alarm call.

Crews worked for four hours to put out the fire.

There were no injuries to the people living in the home or any firefighters but the owners did lose family pets in the blaze.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

In total, 10 different fire departments worked to put out the flames.
