HOWLAND, Ohio - One person has been taken to the hospital after a head on collision that took place just outside of the Howland Post Office.

According to police on scene, one has been hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time. 

Police believe the accident to be the result of a driver not paying attention and accidentally merging into the oncoming traffic lane striking another vehicle.

The accident is under investigation.
