GREEN TOWNSHIP, Mahoning Co., Ohio - A South Range School bus driver was hospitalized after a deer came through the bus windshield Friday morning.

State Troopers say there were no students on board when the deer went through the buses windshield and struck the driver along State Route 165 just east of Lisbon Road shortly before 7 a.m.

The deer struck with such impact, the steering wheel was bent.  The deer died in the passenger area of the bus.

The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Salem Hospital for treatment of several facial cuts.
