$250K in emergency funding going to health center near East Palestine

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - More federal aid is going to help the people of East Palestine after the Norfolk Southern train derailment.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded $250,000 in emergency funding to the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County in Lisbon.
The health center will help support emergency response efforts and follow-up care for those affected by the derailment.
According to the release, the funding will support response activities including direct health care services, patient screenings, outreach and enrollment.
The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County has provided medical, behavioral and dental health appointments through the health center and deployed its mobile medical unit to East Palestine.
They've also partnered with the Ohio Department of Health to support the Health Assessment Clinic in the village.
