Men's work pants with hem adjustment cords recalled due to falling hazard

Carhartt has issued a recall on its Men's Force Relaxed Five-Pocket Work Pants with an elastic drawstring hem due to a potential falling hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the elastic drawstring hem near the ankle of the pants can create an extended loop posing a tripping and falling hazard.
Recalled products would have product number, 105222 printed on the tag on the inside seam near the waistband.
The pants are made of 81% cotton, 16% Nylon and 3% elastane. They were sold in gray and brown colors and feature two front pockets, a phone pocket on the right leg and two back pockets with one including a zipper. All sizes apply to this recall.
They were sold at Dick's Sporting Goods both in stores and online between July and November of 2022 for about $70 apiece.
Anyone who purchased a recalled product should stop wearing it and return them for a full refund.
Alternatively if you would like to keep the pants, you can cut the loop out of the hems and send a picture to Carhartt showing proof the cord was removed to keep the pants and still get a refund.
